Tropical moss is perfect for any humid arrangement! It comes from tropical rainforests, where it naturally grows in damp, shady spots on forest floors, rocks, and tree trunks, creating striking, soft carpets of intense green.
Appearance
The plant is distinguished by its delicate, soft structure, intense green color, and distinctive, fluffy habit. Its creeping nature makes it ideal for terrariums, paludariums, and as a groundcover. Thanks to its ability to retain moisture and its compact growth, tropical moss creates a striking, natural structure reminiscent of the floor of a tropical forest.
Requirements
- Light: diffused to partial shade – avoids direct sun
- Substrate: can grow on various surfaces – soil, stones, bark
- Air humidity: 70–100% – requires very high humidity
- Watering: regular sprinkling, the moss should be kept constantly moist
- Temperature: optimal 18–25 °C
